Uber is a fantastic job, and like with any other job, there are stories to tell. Everyday I meet fun, unusual and interesting people. I'm happy to see that so many people are staying safe by using Uber when they are drunk. The drunk passengers are funny, and are usually going to another bar to continue the party, and they are still smart enough to know that they cannot drive. Great job riders!!!
Saturday night I picked up a couple at a fancy resort, they were celebrating their 6 month anniversary, they were in love, very drunk and very funny. They wanted to stop at the gas station to buy cigarettes, so I stopped and with that they started saying (very loudly) "You're the best Uber driver we ever had, we love you, you should come out with us." Then the female, I will call her Bridget, climbed from the back seat to the front seat while I was driving and asked me for my name, I said "Belinda" and she tried very hard to pronounce it and ended up with "Mellllliiinnnnddddaaaa, Melinda, Muhlyndaaaa" I said it's with a "B" like Bridget, and she took my hand and slurred out "OMG Bridget, that's my name too." It went on like this for about 15 minutes, it was so funny. At the end just before I dropped them off I played my CD and put on Aretha Franklin's "Respect" and the three of us sang very loudly and laughed, Bridget held up an imaginary microphone for everyone. They invited me to go to the next bar with them and said "You are our new friend." They made me smile, cute couple.
DO YOU KNOW WHERE CIRCLE K IS?
Last night I had the shortest drive so far, I picked a guy up at his home, I could smell the alcohol. He very calmly, with a serious tone and a slight slur said "Do you know where Circle K is?" and I said no. He guided me to Circle K, about 1 mile away, he asked me to wait, he came back with a couple of 6 packs, and I took him back home. That was it!

In just one week I have seen some of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen in my life and in neighborhoods that I didn't know existed.
