Fun Fun Fun Night, Friday July 24, 2015

TALES OF AN UBER DRIVER
What a great decision I made to become an Uber driver while I complete my Bachelor's degree.  Now that I've been driving for a couple of weeks, my experience is enhancing my work!  Yes, I said work!  It turns out that work can be fun, who knew?  I never know what to expect.  I shower, brush my teeth, use mouth wash, dress nice, put make-up on and grab a bottle of water to hit the road (no perfume) - I was told that perfume could turn people off.  The first couple of nights I drove I didn't wear make-up because I didn't think it would matter, I was wrong.  If I look like I'm going out, like one of the people that I'm taking to dinner, a club, a bar or a party then the response is positive.  Since they have a description of my car and my name, when I pull up they scream "HEY BELINDA" like we're old buddies and I just stopped by to give them a ride.  They hop in the car, if someone comes around to my side then I will get out and open the door for them, they like that.

JACQUELINE MADE MY NIGHT
Last night's awesome final ride of the evening!  The very beautiful Jacqueline from Illinois, (strong resemblance to Angelina Jolie), and her two roommates needed a ride from Laguna Beach to San Clemente.  On a personal note, I like to listen to music loud, however, when I have riders in the car my radio is very low, almost inaudible, just to have some music in the background.  Jacqueline took it to a whole new level and cranked up the volume, we all sang along with Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold" "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift, Hey Mama" by Nicki Minaj and then "Push It" by Salt N Pepa.  The two guys that were in the back seat, Jacqueline's roommates, Ryan and Addy were having fun and singing too!  When we arrived at the destination, we said our good-bye's and Ryan (about 25 years old) actually hit on me, I am beyond flattered.  He said "I'd like to hang out with you, I'd like to see you again" and I said "check out my blog" and he said "That's not what I meant, you don't understand, I want to hang out."  I smiled and said "Have a great night Ryan" and he walked away. Sorry Ryan, you are cute and seemed nice but seriously too young.

MILITARY MEN...
Two couples got into the car for a ride from Laguna Beach to Aliso Viejo.  I cannot remember the last time that I laughed that much.  Each of the guys were in the military, they were very fine looking men 30'ish and their girlfriends were smokin' hot!!!  They told me stories that made me laugh so hard I had tears.  I would not be able to do those stories any justice, but trust me they were funny! (the pic is not the guys that were in my car, I added it for a nice visual).

GUY FROM BOSTON
This guy was visiting Chicago and needed to get
to Wrigley Field, his Uber driver said "I could take you there, and I would be happy to take all of your money, but instead, if you want, I can take you to the train station and you will get there a lot faster and a lot cheaper.  The passenger was so grateful that he gave the driver a very large tip.  When he was done telling me the story, we talked  bit and then arrived at this destination, his fare was $7 and he gave me a $20 tip.  Wow, I was so grateful and in need of the cash because I had to put gas in the car.  Thank you nice guy from Boston that lives in Aliso Viejo.

50 SHADES OF GREY
I picked up John at Mozambique Restaurant on S. Coast Highway, he was going to take the ride alone, but there were three people there that he offered a ride to.  John asked "Hey, do you guys want a ride?" they said yes, they were only going 3 blocks down S. Coast Highway.  So they hopped in, two girls in the back with John, and this absolutely gorgeous guy with ash blonde hair, and startling deep blue eyes in the front with me. The pic on the right is not him, but similar in looks.  When I dropped them off, the guy said thank you so much, he grabbed a wad of money from his pocket, I asked for his name, and he handed me a $20 bill and slowly made eye contact and said "it's Christian, thank you for the ride" and got out of the car.  I had a moment, and then took John home.
